Construction Update # 19

Jerry's Signs installs the cinema sign on the roof.

Cool looking shot of the new sign work done on each door.

A close up shot of the sign work on the door done by Innovative Graphics located in Norton, VA

The posters outside have undergone a slight change to show each movie and its respective show time. Very convenient feature!

The legs to the brand new air hockey table were located and it's ready for some serious play!

Notice the added touch of the "concession" lettering above the concession stand. VERY NICE!

These benches were purchased from the Poor Farm in Wise. They will be great seats while your party is in line at the concession.

These numbers will adorn the wall to each corresponding movie house.

Neat looking Dolby Digital sign waiting to be placed somewhere in the cinema.

The drop ceiling in the hallway is being installed this week.

Another shot of the drop ceiling put in this week.

The bathroom wiring has been run and ready for the hand dryers to be installed.

The bathroom stalls are completely finished.

Games Update

The truck with all the new games arrived this week

Long time friend and coin op salesman David Cottrell works for Birmingham Vending Company and is making sure all the games are on the truck. David is not only an outstanding salesman, but an even better person. If you ever need a pool table, pinball machine or video game please give him a call @ 321-947-8271

Buddy and David inspect the games on the truck

The truck is packed full of games. The two on the front are the Super Shots basketball game.

The first game off the truck is the HUGE Super Shot basketball game.

Here's a neat shot of the Super Shot being unloaded from the truck.

The Super Shots basketball game sits on the pallet awaiting assembly

Clyde works on putting together the Super Shots basketball game

These two Super Shots are gonna be wildly poplar with kids and adults alike. You can play each other head to head to see who gets the high score. The backboard moves according to which game you select and makes it even more challenging!

Buddy tests out the new Super Shots game and post the high score of 67

Carty is wondering why I am disturbing him from assembling the UB QB football game.

The object of the super cool game is to get a touchdown by throwing the footballs to each of the "receivers" via the the long bomb, or short toss. 2 people can play and this is where the game really gets it fun and competitive.

Close up shot of the UB QB Football Challenge, which is another personal favorite of mine.

The air hockey game seems to be missing it's legs, thus delaying it's set up.

Colorama is a 4 player roulette style game where each player picks a color the ball will land on.

Colorama gets a test run and is a hit!

This is a perfect game for the cinema, catch the popcorn in your cup as it "pops" out of the kettle.

Clinton tests out the brand new Popcorn game

This game is called Slam A Winner and is very popular with both kids and adults.

Brand new Smokin Token, which is ultra addictive!

Here we have a brand new Wonder Wheel.

This is my personal favorite and one if the most addictive games ever made, Cyclone.

This vintage Atari Subs sat unused, brand new in the box, for nearly 3o years and now has found it's way to the Norton Cinema!

This is a fun game called Hammer Head where you have to whack the sharks head as they pop up.

Here we have 4 brand new Ice Ski Balls, a classic and always fun to play!

We've had this High tops basketball game for years and now it's completely refurbished. It includes hand sewn shoe strings! This is a great basketball game for the little kids.

Stern Pinball Inc., is proudly made in the USA and is the worlds only remaining pinball company. Buddy and I have been to the headquarters in Melrose Park, IL.

Elvis pinball with the back glass all lite up.

Brand new limited edition Elvis Gold pinball. This pinball has a dancing Elvis and is a blast to play!

Construction Update # 18

Work continues upstairs in the projector hallway on the electrical wiring.

This has to be one of the coolest shots I've taken. This guy is walking around on stilts so he can reach the ceiling easier. Looks like it would be fun!

Clinton is ready to help remove the garbage behind the cinema!

Left over garbage behind the cinema awaits removal

All the garbage is gone!

Mike drops some gravel in the back parking lot to even out the area which used to be the loading dock when Piggly Wiggly/Food city was here.

Mike operates the bobcat smoothing about the back lot.

The sidewalk at the entrance of the cinema got some freshly poured concrete yesterday.

The doors to each movie house were hung this week.

Before shot of the carpet being installed in the hallway

The carpet in the lobby has splashes of color that extenuate the color of the walls.

Water fountains just got installed this week
