Construction Update # 9

The stadium seating structure has been installed in two of the new cinemas!

This is a great look at the smallest movie house at the new cinema. The test screen is an old one that came from the Coeburn Cinema. As you can see, even the smallest movie house at the new cinema is 2-3 feet bigger than the old screens!

The four wooden blocks on the wall are speaker mounts. There will be 4 surround speakers on each side, 3 speakers in the front and 4 in the back.

Construction Update # 8

The new sign arrived from Jerrys this week. As you can see the end product differed from the initial concept. Still, we love the sign and it brings us one step closer to opening!

We have a tremendous amount of gratitude to the City of Norton for replacing the sidewalk in front of the new cinema and repaving the road and entrance. Thank you Norton civic leaders!


Another shot of our new sidewalk and pavement. It's a relief to enter the shopping center parking lot now and not bottom our your car! Again, we can't heap enough praise onto the city of Norton and their public works department.

Shot looking at the lobby...its coming along nicely too. Soon we will have the area to the left filled with new games! The order has been placed and the machines should be arriving in January.

Construction Update # 7 Part 2

Just wanted to give everyone an update on time time frame as to when we should have our grand opening. It's still hard to put an exact date on it, but we hope sometime in January/February. You can see from the pictures things are coming along but at a much slower pace. When we get closer we will try to announce a firm date for our grand opening. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you!

Construction Update # 7

This week we unveil what we have affectionately dubbed "popcorn" tile behind the concessions. This area is located directly behind where you will stand in line while ordering your popcorn and snacks. Mike had the idea and it definitely gives off the idea of popcorn being popped from the kettle. We love it and hope you do too!

Work is being done to the exterior of the building.....a new paint job!

This sign is temporarily being taken down while the exterior of the building is being painted.

Behind the cinema is looking less and less like a set from the new Mad Max movie. When completed, this area will provide additional parking.
